6 Things to Sort Out Before Solar Goes on a New Home
From the problems we see most often during surveys. Getting these right early saves cost and delay later.

Transfer the connection
Subsidy and net metering need the electricity connection in your name. Transfer it from the builder or previous owner first.

Check your sanctioned load
Your DISCOM will not approve a system larger than your sanctioned load. Raise it first if you plan a bigger system.

Finish waterproofing first
Complete terrace waterproofing before the structure is fixed, so anchor points sit on a sealed slab.

Keep the roof clear
Plan water tanks, dish antennas and future rooms away from the sunniest part of the terrace.

Reserve the inverter wall
Pick a ventilated, shaded wall near the meter for the inverter, and route conduits before plastering.
